Instructions for authors
Manuscript submission
Manuscripts should be submitted to the email oam-rc@inoe.ro
- The scientific contributions must be submitted in electronic form and typeset in MS Word (versions
1997 to 2003) according to the guidelines presented below .
- We urge you to check the document with TOOLS/SPELLING using British English (U.K.) dictionary before
submitting.
- The whole Word document must be a single file, including text, figures, figure captions, tables and
table captions, references, acknowledgments, etc., at their appropriate positions.
- Scanned papers (text, figures, etc.) are not accepted!!!

- The author is fully responsible for the scientific quality of the paper. All contributions are
carefully checked by at least two independent referees before an editorial decision is taken.

The general structure of your contribution shall observe the following guidelines:
- The Title of the paper shall be written using Times New Roman, 20pt, Left, Sentence
case, Special: 0cm
- Author names: Each author name shall contain the initial(s) of first name(s)
followed by surname. Author names are to be written comma separated, using Times New Roman, 10pt,
All Caps, Left, Special: 0cm. For different affiliations use superscript ordered letters.
- Affiliations: Each affiliation shall start with a superscript letter connecting the
name of the author to his/her affiliation. For a single affiliation no superscript letter is
required. Use Times New Roman, 10pt, Italic, Left, Special: 0cm.
- The Abstract shall be written using ARIAL, 9pt, Justified, Special: 0cm, Single.
The paper must have an abstract of maximum 100 words.

Keywords shall be written using Times New Roman, Italic, 9pt, Left, Special: 0cm ‘Keywords: ’ in
ITALIC. The minimum number of keywords is 3.
- The following structure of the paper is recommended: 1. Introduction; 2. Experimental (theory,
Modeling…); 3. Results; 4. Discussions; 5. Conclusions; References – these shall be written in
ARIAL, 10pt, Left, Special: 0.63cm
- The text in the body of the manuscript must be typeset using the Times New Roman and Symbol (Greek
symbols for formulae and equations) fonts at 10pt, Justified, Indent: Single Line Spacing. The body of the document should be divided into two columns. The space between columns must be 0.7
cm.
- Insert the figures at their appropriate position. Figures must not be larger than an A4 page each.
For scanned figures, the resolution shall be set at minimum 300 DPI. Figures shall be listed in
numerical order, bottom numbered and Centered on the page. The Figure caption shall be written under
the figure, using Times New Roman, Italic. 9pt, Centered (e.g. ‘Fig. 4. Plot of the evolution... –
’).
- Tables shall also be introduced at their appropriate place in the text. The table title shall be
written above the table, using Times New Roman, Italic, 9pt, Centered. Landscape tables are not
accepted!
- The equations may be written either in Equation Editor or in text mode, using Times New Roman
or/and Symbol fonts. Displayed equations shall be Centered and numbered with Arabic figures in
parentheses (e.g. ‘(1)’), Flush Right written, using Times New Roman, 10pt.
- A short paragraph of acknowledgements is allowed to appear before the bibliography. It should be
written in Times New Roman, 10pt, Indent: First Line: 0.63 cm and start with the text
“Acknowledgements.” in Bold. Insert a blank space after the previously mentioned text and before
introducing the body of the acknowledgements.
- The bibliography shall be a separate section placed at the end of the paper and having a first
order heading formatted accordingly, which contains the text “References”. All text in the section
will be written using Times New Roman, 10pt and further formatted according to the following
guidelines:
- Journal articles – Initials and names of authors separated by comma, journal title abbreviation
(Web of Science), volume number (Bold), issue between the brackets, the first page number of the
article and year in parentheses followed by a period. (e.g. „A. Popa, J. Optoelectron. Adv. M.,
16(9-10), 1063 (2014)”).
- Books – initials and names of authors separated by comma, title of book between double quotes,
publisher, place of publication, page number followed by year and a final period.
- Each entry in the bibliographic list shall be numbered with Arabic figures between square brackets (e.g. [7]). Please leave a blank space between the number and the body of each bibliographic entry.
- Within the body of the document, the references shall be introduced writing the corresponding
number in the bibliographic list within square parentheses (e.g. [21]).
- Include e-mail addresses. Use Times New Roman, 9pt, Left, Special: 0cm.
- Our staff will contact the authors in order to arrange future actions concerning manuscripts.
- Scanned papers (text, figures, etc.) are not accepted!!!
- The author is fully responsible for the scientific quality of the paper. All contributions are
carefully checked by at least two independent referees before an editorial decision is taken.
The manuscripts must be written in British English. Authors are invited to send the manuscripts, only by e-mail, to the following e-mail address: oam-rc@inoe.ro
Every paper must have an abstract of maximum 100 words. At least three keywords, which characterize the subject of the paper, must be specified. Maximum two papers co-authored by the same person can be published in one issue of the Journal.
The following structure of a paper is recommended: 1. Introduction, 2. Experimental (Theory, Modeling, …), 3. Results, 4. Discussion, 5. Conclusions.
The manuscripts must be prepared according to the detailed guidelines from the Journal website:
The authors are kindly asked to suggest three possible reviewers with their affiliations, scientific positions, and e-mail addresses, when submitting the manuscript.
The authors must answer to the following questions:
- Does the present submission represent original work?
- Is the present work being considered for publication elsewhere in any other form?
- Is some part of the present work published elsewhere? If so, provide details.
- Are all co-authors aware of this submission?
- Have all co-authors contributed to this work?
The manuscripts that fit the Journal scope and are prepared according to the Journal guidelines are sent to two reviewers for a critical examination. The comments of the reviewers and the decision of the Editorial Board regarding the publication are sent to the corresponding author.
The accepted manuscripts are published after final technical processing.
All rights are reserved by “Optoelectronics and Advanced Materials – Rapid Communications”. Any reproduction or dissemination of the information herein, even as excerpts of any extent, is permitted only by written consent of the Editor-in-Chief.
After acceptance of a paper for publication in Optoelectronics and Advanced Materials - Rapid Communications the corresponding author must send the Copyright Transfer Agreement signed by him in the name of all the co-authors of that paper. Scanned document with the signature of the corresponding author, sent by e-mail, to the address of the redaction, is accepted.
OAM-RC reserve the right to reject all the papers that do not consider these conditions.
Once the paper accepted for publishing a copyright transfer to OAM-RC must be filled, signed and sent by e-mail.
