Abstract
N-hydroxi-3,4,5,6-tetraphenylphthalimide has been synthesized and was employed together with other N-hydroxyl
compounds, like N-hydroxyphthalimide, N-hydroxybenzotriazole and violuric acid to generate the corresponding nitroxyl
radicals by monoelectronic oxidation with cerium salts or two-electrons oxidation with lead tetraacetate. The obtained
nitroxyl radicals were analyzed by means of UV-vis spectroscopy..
