Abstract

The kinetics of precipitation in supersaturated solid solution of 7050 aluminum alloy was investigated by a combination of differential scanning calorimetric (DSC) techniques with Johnson-Mehl-Avrami (JMA) equation. The results demonstrated that, the activation energy of GPI 353 K, η′ phase 492 K and η phase 510 K were 103.8, 195.1 and 571.9 kJ/mol, respectively. The constant of k0 were 1013 , 4.8×1016 and 7.9×1056 /s, respectively. The equations of the corresponding kinetics were gained at the same time..
