Abstract

A novel visible-light-driven photocatalyst Nd2InNbO7 was prepared by solid-state reaction. The optical band gap of Nd2InNbO7 was determined to be 2.68 eV. Under visible-light irradiation, the photocatalytic activity for water splitting H2 evolution over Nd2InNbO7 was higher than that over Nd2Zr2O7. The higher photocatalytic activity of Nd2InNbO7 was ascribed to its conduction band nature, and the higher level of lattice distortion..
