Abstract

Optically variable thin film plays an essential role in optical anti counterfeiting field. In this paper, we proposed a new method based on single silicon material to obtain optically variable thin film, which is composed only of silicon and sil icon compounds (silica and silicon nitride) for the first time. A five layer optically variable stack /Si ’/SiO 2 /Si/SiO 2 /Si’/ is designed and fabricated , t he experimental result s was in accordance with the d esign. Under D65 illuminant, the color of reflecte d light is kelly with 0° and b lue with 60° observation angle, which proved optical thin film based on single silicon material can realize good color shifting effect..
