Abstract
Ni
Ti layered double hydroxides (Ni Ti LDHs) was prepared by co precipitation method and used as the matrix for the
intercalation of oxalate complexes of Zn 2+ and Fe 3+ The structure and interaction features between the interlayer a nions and
the laminate of the as prepared samples were characterized by XRD, SEM, FT IR and UV vis DRS. The results showed that
the oxalate co m plexes were successfully intercalated into the interlayer space of Ni Ti LDHs, and there is an obvious
interactio n between the interlayer oxalate ligand ions and the higher charge c ations in the laminate. The interaction is closely
related to the interlayer charge density. Moreover, Zn( C 2 O 4 22 LDHs and Fe( C 2 O 4 3
3 LDHs ha s excellent adsorption
performance and photoc ata lytic oxidation activity for ethyl mercaptan under natural light irradiation..
