Abstract
This paper deals with the synthesis of new halide complexes with the general formula (choline)2[Cuy M1-yX4] (where choline+- is quaternary ammonium ion of 2-amino-1-ethanol, [(CH3)3N+-(CH2)2-OH] and M = Sn; y= 0; 0.25; 0.50; X=Cl or I; M = Pb; y= 0; 0.25; 0.50; 0.75; X=I), (choline)2[FeyPb1-yX4] (y=0; 0.25; 0.50; X=Cl or y=0.50; X=I) and (choline)2[Cu0,50Fe0,25Pb0,25I4], having layered perovskite-like structure. The synthesized series of halide complexes have been characterized by elemental, spectral and thermal analysis, X-ray diffraction and electric conductivity measurements..
