Abstract

In this work the effect of chemistry on mechanical behaviour of α titanium alloys was investigated. Optical microscopy, X ray diffraction and electron backscatter diffraction were used to characterise the microstructure and texture development during quasi static compression test i n rolling direction, normal direction and 45°. The effect of tin concentration on lattice constant and how microstructure and texture change with content of tin was looked into..
