Abstract
In this article, the
effect of aging process on dimensional instabil ity of Invar alloys was analyzed. When the aging temperature
range d from 200 to 500 oC, the organization of the Invar alloy was a ustenite phase γ Fe . The residual stress of the Invar
alloy also decrease dsignificantly with the increase of the aging temperature . The coefficients of thermal expansion (of he Invar alloy did not change obviously with the increase of the aging temperature when the aging temperature was below
400 oC. However, the CTE of the Invar alloy increase d significantly with the increa se of the aging temperature when the aging
temperature was above 400 oC. After aging at 500 oC, the average CTE of the alloys increase d 100% and the dimensional
in stability of Invar alloy was bad..
