Abstract

In this paper, we used defective resonant cavity to design a 4-channel photonic crystal demultiplexer. We showed that by choosing appropriate values for the radius of defects located inside the resonant cavity, the desired wavelengths can be separated. The proposed platform is a hexagonal lattice of air pores created in dielectric material. The value of transmission efficiency for channels was obtained in73% to 97%range. In addition, the maximum value of crosstalk and average quality factor for channels were calculated -27.6 dB and 5039 respectively..
