Abstract

In this paper, influences of orthogonal optical feedback on the polarization switching (PS) of multi-transverse-mode in vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs) subject to orthogonal optical injection have been investigated. The results show that the injection power required for PS in VCSELs subject to orthogonal optical injection can be decreased through introducing orthogonal optical feedback.
